TRAINING COURSES

All our trainers hold a AET/PTTL teaching or Train the Trainer qualification

Below are details on our current certified courses, which have been developed in collaboration with residential staff and proven therapeutic practices to provide the perfect mix of theory and practical based pedagogy. Additionally to help homes demonstrate to regulators the continued professional development of staff, we supply managers with bonus training material (quizzes, scenarios, etc) to use periodically in team meetings. These can be kept in staff files to show quality assurance to inspectors.

We have had increased interest from educational establishments and have amended our PSB & Behaviour Management Courses to align with school policies and procedures to help create a safe learning environment.

TRAUMA APPROACH TRAINING

Regulators will ask about your model of care, it must also be in your Statement of Purpose and can be asked during a Fit Person's Interview.

A care model within your services is:-

  • A framework or approach used to support and nurture the well-being and development of your residents.
  • A model that ensures that the physical, emotional, social, and educational needs of your residents are met and
  •  whilst providing them with a safe and supportive environment.

H.E.A.R.T is a trauma informed approach model of care, which has been created from our team using evidence based practices and real-life outcomes and puts children at the 'heart' of what we do. H.E.A.R.T includes a set of tools, skills and principles that services can integrate into their approach to working with people with trauma.

Regulators do not have a preferred model of care, but they are interested to see that the care model which underpins your practice is:

  •  good for the people you work with and has a positive impact on their lives.
  • You will need to evidence to Regulators that your staff are well trained to understand how to implement your care model in your home.
  •  We'll also give you periodical training material, quizzes, etc for your staff to complete to add to their training files to show their professional development for future Regulatory visits.
